Dear SGHC members,
Some of you will know that at the April AGM several Committee members stood down, having completed their one year terms. We received no nominations for new Committee members at that time, but were grateful to several members who stepped forward and were co-opted onto Committee.
You may have heard that unfortunately one of the remaining Committee members has resigned and that as a result we now have four Officers and four co-opted members, who kindly helped to ensure that we could keep Club matters ticking along and deliver the Centenary Championship Shows. The current Committee is now as follows:
President – Michael Williams
Vice-President – Tricia Ulyatt
Acting Treasurer – Jeannette Glaister
Acting Secretary – Michelle Ulyatt
Co-opted Committee members: John Walton Haddon, John Davies, Linda Aldous and David Steel
We have liaised with the Kennel Club and will shortly be sending paperwork to members calling a Special General Meeting to elect a quorate Committee. As the 2022 accounts were not passed at the April AGM, we will also be seeking approval for amended accounts at that meeting.
Full details of the agenda for the meeting will be sent to all members shortly, with a view to holding the SGM in late August (to be confirmed once we set a date).
We can assure members that the planning that has already taken place for the October Centenary Championship Show and associated celebrations means that this will still go ahead as planned on Saturday 21 October.
We will be actively looking to co-opt some new Committee Members to ensure we do not fall below the number required in future. If you would like to join us please do speak to any of the Officers or Committee.
